Il GECT GO ospite alla Transport & Logistics Conference 2016 (Bruxelles, 3/3/2016)
On 3 March 2016, the Slovenian Business & Research Association (SBRA) organized the Transport & Logistics Conference 2016 at the premises of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Slovenia to the EU (Rue du Commerce 44, Brussels).
European Commissioner for Mobility and Transport Ms. Violeta Bulc was be the keynote speaker, alongside Dr. Peter Gašperšič, the Slovenian Minister of Infrastructure. The conference included a host of experts representing some of the industry's leading voices. Although the event covered the wider EU agenda on transport and logistics, a special emphasis on the Central European region was given.

Since their inception in 2006, the primary function of the European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation is the implementation of cooperation programmes, or parts thereof, or the implementation of operations supported by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and/or the Cohesion Fund.
The purpose of this seminar is to give an overview at the state-of-the-art of the participation of the EGTCs in programmes of European Territorial Cooperation, identifying their main achievements, the bottlenecks, and the future steps to improve their performance.
The seminar also intends to help the EGTCs to exchange experiences and ideas in order to be able to apply successfully to the new calls of proposals corresponding to the period 2014-2020.
The 2016 edition of the award 'Building Europe across Borders' to EGTCs promoting growth and jobs will be launched in this seminar.
This seminar is co-organised by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR), and is part of the conference on 'The Future of Cross-border Cooperation in Europe' which will take place on 12 and 13 November in Brussels, co-organised by the CoR and the AEBR in collaboration with the European Commission and the Congress of Local and Regional Powers of the Council of Europe in the context of the 25 years of INTERREG.

Il nodo ferroviario di Gorizia e Nova Gorica / Šempeter-Vrtojba tra i 15 top missing links europei
La Commissione Trasporti del Parlamento europeo ha effettuato uno studio relativamente alle connessioni ferroviarie regionali, dove emerge che nell'Unione europea ci sono ancora notevoli collegamenti ferroviari mancanti in corrispondenza di 27 confini.
Lo scopo del progetto è quello di identificare i collegamenti ferroviari mancanti e/o problematici transfrontalieri regionali al di fuori della rete di trasporto transeuropea (TEN-T). I risultati sono fruibili sotto forma di una mappa interattiva:

Azione pilota proposta dal GECT GO, inserita nel Documento di sintesi degli obiettivi, azioni e proposte progettuali per la programmazione comunitaria e stesura del piano strategico approvato dall'Assemblea il 11/11/2013:
Obiettivi dell'idea progetto:
RIVITALIZZARE IL "NODO FERROVIARIO DI GORIZIA - NOVA GORICA - ŠEMPETER-VRTOJBA
per favorire in un contesto coerente e coordinato, sistemi di trasporto sostenibili nel campo del trasporto delle merci al fine di un rilancio economico dell'area e per le strutture intermodali ferroviarie dello scalo Sdag-Vrtojba, attraverso la realizzazione di:
a) dei due raccordi ferroviari, dette "lunette", destinati a completare il collegamento tra la rete ferroviaria italiana e quella slovena (in territorio italiano: lunetta in uscita dalla linea GoriziaNova Gorica con direzione Monfalcone - linea n. 14 RFI; in territorio sloveno: lunetta in uscita dalla linea Gorizia-Nova Gorica con direzione Sežana - linea n. 70 SŽ);
b) di armamento a semplice binario parallelo alla linea Trieste-Monfalcone fino all'innesto col nuovo raccordo, circa 800 metri, per la sosta dei convogli merci, tipologia "Ro-La" inclusa;
c) degli impianti di trazione elettrica nei tratti di raccordo tra la linea Gorizia - Trieste e l'autoporto fino al Confine di Stato;
d) del collegamento diretto (armamento ferroviario e inerenti apparecchi) tra lo scalo intermodale in area autoporto SDAG e le linee slovene che si sviluppano dalla vicina Stazione di Vrtojba. Trattasi di circa 700 metri di binario con un ponte in ferro (di circa 35 metri) a scavalcare la viabilità locale del Comune di Šempeter-Vrtojba;
e) del prolungamento di circa 150 metri per armamento ferroviario a raso di n. 2 binari di sosta e scarico tradotte in area SDAG;
f) di uno studio di fattibilità per uno scalo merci sul versante sloveno con innesto prima del ponte in ferro in analogia a quello esistente nell'autoporto SDAG;
g) degli apparati di sicurezza da installare sulle strutture ferroviarie dello scalo intermodale, collegate ed integrate agli analoghi impianti adottati dalle ferrovie italiane e slovene.
